Carolina Specialties Construction sees that as part of our mission as a community partner, it is necessary to be involved in the support well deserved causes in our surrounding area to promote growth and prosperity.
Carolina Specialties Construction is located in the Historic 7th Avenue District of Hendersonville, North Carolina. We feel a strong sense of community and the need for personal and company involvement. While many opportunities are available to give back to our community, those in which we choose most often to participate are the ones that support children and young adults. We are very invested in giving back to the next generation and helping provide a positive direction and a pathway to success both now and in the future.
We are heavily involved with our local school systems mentoring in vocational programs and attending career fairs for students ranging from elementary school to high school. We have been blessed in recent years to have quite a few local projects and this has afforded us the opportunity to offer vocational field trips to several of those projects. Henderson County Public Schools and the Career Technical Education programs they offer make regular visits to learn about the construction industry and career paths.
These include both blue collar trade careers as well as white collar ones including those as architect and design professionals. We currently serve on the advisory board for Henderson County Public Schools offering guidance to the CTE programs in an effort to assist young adults who may not be privileged enough to attend universities or higher education find paths to promising careers not only in construction but other areas like manufacturing.
In recent years we have supported the City of Hendersonville’s Bare Footing Bear Auction where bears are sponsored by businesses or private citizens to support different charities. These bears are crafted and decorated with a theme by local artists and then displayed all around downtown Hendersonville throughout the Summer and Fall and then auctioned off to the highest bidder in October to raise money for these worthy charities. 
Carolina Specialties Construction is a Patron Member of the Henderson County Partnership for Economic Development which actively works with new and existing business to promote growth of industry in Henderson County. We also do our part in promoting the agricultural roots and industry of Henderson County by supporting Agribusiness Henderson County which promotes the economic development of agriculture and agribusiness in the county. Participating in the economic growth of Henderson County and the City of Hendersonville also creates a demand for a skilled and competent work force. Being actively engaged with the Mountain Area Work Force Development board and staff, which executes a comprehensive strategic plan for the four-county area of Buncombe, Henderson, Madison and Transylvania by identifying workforce development issues and the needs of local businesses, we help bring growth full circle for the area.
